DHAKA: Two construction workers were electrocuted in Islambag area of the city early Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Kada, 45, and Asadul, 18.

Co-worker Manik told banglanews that the two workers came into contact with live electric wire at 6:30am while doing piling works at a construction site of one Sohel Hajji, leaving them critically injured.

They were rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where on-duty doctor declared them dead at 7:00am.

DMCH police outpost In-Charge Mozzamel Haque confirmed the matter to banglanews.
