DHAKA: In the latest development, the government has decided to give promotion to 199 high officials of the police administration.

The decision came from a meeting at Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday.

The meeting decided to give promotion to 21 officials as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, 45 as Superintendent of Police and 133 as Additional Superintendent of Police.

Senior secretary of the ministry Dr M Monjurul Haque Khan presided over the meeting.

Inspector General of Police Hassan Mahmood Khandaker and additional secretary of Home affairs ministry were among others present at the meeting.
