Khaleda’s tactic to cheer up activists

FROM BARISAL: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson Khaleda Zia called the movement after the Eid-ul-fitr that is the strategy to make revive the activists of the party.

Barisal Awami League members made the remarks. They also said BNP has no issue to accumulate the people of the country for the movement.

They think BNP will fail to organize the movement as their main strength, Jamaat-e-Islami, a key ally of 20-party alliance, would not be in street.

But they could make sabotage stirring religious sentiment. We will prevent it with the help of the people as they don’t prop up any kind of militancy.

City AL general secretary advocate Afzalul Karim said in his office “we are not afraid of the movement as we have experience about it. We witnessed the patients died in ambulances, cattle set ablaze in trucks and 500 educational institutions also set ablaze.”

Bakergamj Municipality former chairman and former Science and technology affairs secretary of city AL Mahbub Alam said political infertility is going on in BNP. The situation will not be changed until the reshuffle of the organization.

While talking with the AL leaders, they said all the 10 upazilas and five municipalities have the AL-backed chairman. Only Barisal City Corporation mayoral post dominated by the former city BNP president Ahsan Habib.
