The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast light to moderate rain or thunder showers in several parts of the country over the next 24 hours beginning Tuesday morning.
Rain with lightning and gusty winds is likely in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions, with some areas experiencing moderately heavy falls.
A low-pressure area has developed over the Northwest and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal, which may intensify.
The southwest monsoon has already advanced into Barishal, Chattogram, Sylhet, Mymensingh, and parts of Dhaka division.
Day temperatures may rise slightly, while night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged.
Monday’s highest temperature was 36.3°C in Feni, and the lowest recorded today was 20.6°C in Khepupara.
The sun will set in Dhaka at 06:40 pm today and rise at 05:12 am tomorrow.
