The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers in various parts of the country over the next 24 hours starting Sunday morning.

Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions may experience rain with lightning and gusty winds, with heavier rainfall expected in some areas. Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions may see scattered showers.

The monsoon has reached up to Cox’s Bazar, and a low-pressure area is likely to form over the North Bay around May 27. 

Day temperatures are expected to remain steady, while night temperatures may rise slightly.

Patuakhali recorded the highest rainfall of 74mm in the last 24 hours.

The sun will set in Dhaka at 6:39 pm today and rise at 5:12 am tomorrow.
