Bangladesh Railway began selling advance train tickets on Sunday (May 25) morning for journeys on June 4 ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.
This year, all tickets for regular intercity trains are being sold online only, with no sales at station counters.
Online ticket sales for the Western region started at 8am, while the Eastern region's sales will begin at 2pm.
Ten special trains will run across five routes from June 4–6 and June 9–14, including on Eid day.
Tickets for these special trains will be sold only at station counters.
A total of 43 intercity trains will operate during Eid, offering around 33,315 seats, with 25% reserved for standing tickets available at counters.
