A bank official succumbed to his injuries after his motorcycle hit a madrasa wall on the Tengonmari road in Kishoreganj. 

The accident took place in front of Manthana Hafizia Madrasa of Putimari Union on Monday morning. 

Ashraful Islam Sohel (38), son of late Mofazzal Hossain of Munshipara village of Sadar Union, breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Rangpur Medical College Hospital on Monday evening. 

Kishoreganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rajeev Kumar Roy confirmed the matter. 

Family sources said Sohel, who worked at the National Bank, lost control of his bike on his way to work and crashed into the wall of the madrasa on Monday morning.

Critically injured Sohel was immediately admitted to the Upazila health complex. Later he was sent to Rangpur Medical College Hospital as his physical condition deteriorated. However, he died later on Monday afternoon, they added.
