DHAKA: Biman Bangladesh Airlines on Monday (May 20) has started selling tickets for flights of Hajj 2019.
A press release, issued from Biman public relations section, confirmed the matter.
Biman will operate 157 dedicated Hajj flights and 32 scheduled flights in 32 days, beginning from July 4. Pre-Hajj flights will end on August 5, said the release.
Return Hajj flights will fly from August 17 to September 14.
As many as 1,27,198 pilgrims from Bangladesh are supposed to perform Hajj this year.
Biman will use its own Boeing 777-300 ER aircrafts to carry as many as 63,599 pilgrims.
For the first time, 11 Hajj flights will operate on Dhaka-Medina route and the immigration process will be conducted in Dhaka.
