DHAKA: US-Bangla Airlines, Bangladesh’s leading premium airline, is set to launch its international flights to Doha from Dhaka and Chittagong from Sunday (October 1).
The minimum one-way fare on Dhaka-Doha route has been fixed at TK24,350 and return fare Tk40,203 while the minimum fare for one-way on the Chittagong-Doha route has been fixed at Tk25,317 and return fare Tk41,171 including all taxes and surcharges.
Initially it will be operating to Doha four days a week—Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday -- from Dhaka and Chittagong at 06:00pm and 7:30pm respectively. The flights will arrive at Doha at 10:30pm (local time).
However, flights from Doha will start at 11:30pm (local time) on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday which will arrive in Chittagong at 8:00am, and at 9:20am in Dhaka the next day.
With 164-seater Boeing 737-800 aircraft the flights in Dhaka-Doha-Dhaka and Chittagong-Doha-Chittagong routes will be operated. There are 8 Business class and 156 Economy seats in the Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
However, in domestic service, the airline is operating six flights in Dhaka-Chittagong, three flights in Dhaka-Cox’s Bazar, three flights in Dhaka-Jessore, two flights in Dhaka-Saidpur and one flight in Dhaka-Sylhet route daily. Moreover, three flights in Dhaka-Barisal and Dhaka-Rajshahi routes are being operated in a week.
Just within three years since launching its operation in 2014, US-Bangla Airlines has already operated over 31,000 flights successfully on domestic and international routes, which stands as a landmark in the aviation industry of Bangladesh.
