DHAKA: Retired Biman official Mosaddeq Ahmed has been appointed as the acting managing director (MD) of national carrier Biman Bangladesh Airlines.

Civil aviation and tourism minister Rashed Khan Menon on Tuesday (April 26) finalized the appointment after a meeting with Civil Aviation chairman, Biman chairman and others.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, sources concerned said that it will be a contractual appointment.

They further said that the newly appointed Mosaddeq will work as MD of the state-own airliner now and later will be appointed finally after considering his efficiency.
