DHAKA: Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen on Wednesday (Jan 29) said the government will keep people Bangladesh under observation when they return home after China lifts the ongoing 14-day restriction to avoid any risk.

He said the government does not want to see the transmission of coronavirus in other places.

The Foreign Minister made the remarks while talking to the reporters at the state guesthouse Padma in Dhaka.

He said “We’re fully ready to bring them back once China allows. But Bangladeshis will get good healthcare service there.”

The minister said the Chinese government remains very strict in following the 14-day quarantine period and did not even accept the proposals of Japan and the USA to take back their nationals.
