GAZIPUR: The Akheri Mujajat (concluding prayers) of the second phase of the 55th Biswa Ijtema is being offered Sunday (January 19) seeking peace and prosperity of the Muslim Ummah.
Maulana Jamshed Ali of India has started reading out the final prayer around 11:50 am on the banks of the river Turag at Tongi, on the outskirts of the capital.
The second phase of Biswa Ijtema, the second largest Muslim congregation after the holy Hajj, began after Fazr prayer on Friday (Jan 17) with Aam Bayan.
Thousands of Muslim devotees from home and abroad have joined the prayer of the three-day second phase of the Bishwa Ijtema amid intensified security measures.
