DHAKA: A person was killed and at least 34 suffered burn injuries as a plastic factory caught fire in Keraniganj upazila of Dhaka on Wednesday (Dec 11) afternoon.

The deceased could not be identified immediately, Banglanews correspondent reports.

According to locals, the injured people were taken to the burn unit of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

The fire broke out in the Prime Pate and Plastic Industries Limited in Chunkutia area of the upazila at around 4:15pm.

On information, ten firefighting units rushed to the spot and were trying to bring the fire under control.
