President mourns death in B’baria train crash

DHAKA: President M Abdul Hamid on Tuesday (Nov 12) mourned the death in Brahmanbaria train mishap that killed at least 16 people and injured many others.

In his condolence message, Abdul Hamid expressed deep shock and sorrow at the tragic death in the accident.

President Hamid prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family members.

The President also asked local administration and public representatives to provide all necessary assistances to the victims.

At least 16 passengers were killed and many others injured as two intercity trains collided in Kasba upazila of Brahmanbaria early Tuesday (Nov 12).

Chattogram-bound Udayan Express from Sylhet collided with Dhaka-bound Turna Nishita from Chattogram at Mondobhag Railway Station around 3am.
