GAZIPUR: Four members of a family including two underage children were burnt to death in a fire originated from a gas line leakage at their rented residence in Islampur area of Gazipur. 

The fire originated around 9:30 Wednesday (May 23) night.

The deceased are-- Shah Alam, 38, his wife Monira, 30, son Bayezid, 8 and daughter Fatema, 4.

Joydebpur Fire Service Senior Station Officer Md Jakir Hossain told Banglanews that Monira was cooking in gas stove at the night.

The four died on the spot when the fire ripped through their room.

Afterward, firefighters recovered the bodies.

Deceased Shah Alam was hailed from Patuakhali, said the station officer.
