SIRAJGANJ: A mobile court jailed a youth for eve-teasing a student in front of HT Imam Girls School in Ullapara upazila of the district.

Md. Arifuzzaman, Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) also Executive Magistrate, gave the verdict on Tuesday noon (April 23).

The accused was, identified as Maruf Hossen, 18, son of Abdul Matin, a resident of Baruiya village of the municipality.

“The victim’s mates detained Maruf and handed over to police when he was teasing the girl. Later, he was produced before the mobile court and it awarded him 15 days of prison on the ground of his confession,” Executive Magistrate Arifuzzaman told Banglanews.
