NOAKHALI: A team of detective branch (DB) of police has arrested another person for his alleged connection with the gang-rape of a woman in Subarnachar upazila on December 31.

The detainee was identified as Henju Majhi, 29, son of late Chan Mia of Char Jubilee Union of the upazila.

With this, 11 persons have been arrested over the gang-rape so far.

Abul Khayer, Officer in Charge of district DB police, told Banglanews that as per information given by arrestees over the gang rape, a team of DB police conducted drive in Daudkandi area of Cumilla early on Friday and detained Henju Majhi, who joined as helper at a Dhaka-Chattogram route bus after the incident.

After primary interrogation at DB office, he will be produced before court with a remand plea, he added.
