DHAKA: BNP has secured permission for holding a protest rally demanding release of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia from prison and cancellation of city corporations’ polls.

BNP’s publicity secretary Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie confirmed the matter to Banglanews on Friday (February 7).

“Dhaka Metropolitan Police permitted us to arrange the demonstration verbally. Now we’re making preparation for the rally,” he said.

The rally will be held in front of Naya Paltan central office at around 2 pm on Saturday (February 2).
