DHAKA: Leaders and activists of BNP, led by its Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, staged demonstration in the capital, demanding release of their party chief Khaleda Zia.
The rally began from Maghbazar intersection and ended at Maghbazar Railway Gate on Friday (December 13).
Some leaders and activists of the ruling party chased the demonstration and hurled stones at the vehicles.
Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said: “Khaleda Zia was not granted bail out of sheer political motives. We want immediate release of Khaleda Zia.”
The political leaders were seen in the demonstration.
