DHAKA: The High Court on Tuesday (August 20) summoned Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) Director General (Administration & Finance) Shameem Al Mamun. 

The HC bench of Justice Sheikh Hassan Arif and Justice Md Badruzzaman issued the order.

Shameem was asked to appear before the HC on August 27 to explain why he wanted Tk 50 lakh allocation for opening a hotline to hear complaints about food items and other consumer services.
