DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Thursday (March 9) granted one month’s bail to cricketer Arafat Sunny in cases filed by his Nasrin Sultana, who claims herself as his wife.

The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Kamrul Hossain Molla passed the bail order when Nasrin said she has no objection to it.

Earlier on January 5, Nasrin Sultana, claiming herself as Sunny’s wife, filed the case against him under the ICT Act.

Sunny was arrested on January 22 and sent to jail.

Later on February 1, Nasrin filed another case under Women and Children Repression Prevention Act, accusing Sunny and his mother Nargis Akhter.
