Tigers beat Sri Lanka by 23 runs

Dhaka: Bangladesh has beaten Sri Lanka by 23 runs in 5th match of Asia Cup to step forward to final.

Sri Lanka managed to score 124 runs losing eight wickets in stipulated 20 overs at Sher-e-Bangla stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka.

The match started at 7:30pm Sunday, half an hour after Tigers captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza chose to bat first winning the toss.

Bangladesh lost openers too early and stuck in a risky situation, but Sabbir, Shakib and Riyadh led the team to manage a fighting score hitting 80, 32 and 23 runs respectively.

Sri Lankan bowler Chamera bagged three wickets.

Sabbir Rahman was named Man of the Match.
