DHAKA: India beat Pakistan by five wickets with 27 balls to spare in the fourth match of Asia Cup at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur in city on Saturday (February 27).

Winning the toss India captain Dhoni invited Pakistan to bat first on a greenish track here.

Pakistan managed to score only 83-run losing all wickets in 17.3-over against the bowlers of their arch rival. Only two Pakistan batsmen managed to reach two digit score. Sarfraz made 25 while Khurram Manzoor 10. Fifteen runs came as extras.

H Pandya picked up three wickets while R Jadeja took two. Besides, A Nehra, J Bumrah and Yuvraj Singh took one wicket each.

In response, India also faltered while chasing. At a stage, Aamir heroics made the scorecard look 8-run for the loss of three wickets from 2.4-over.

However, India chased down the target of 84-run from 15.3-over. Thanks to a brilliant knock of Virat Kohli that saved India. He scored 49 runs while Yuvraj managed to take 14 runs.

Mohammad Aamir picked up three wickets while Mohammad Sami took two.
