Sri Lanka win by 196 runs

DHAKA: Sri Lanka Under-19s won by 196 runs in the second match of Group B of ICC U-19 World Cup at Sylhet District Stadium on Thursday (January 28).

Chasing 316-run target, Canada Under-19s all out after scoring 119 runs in 39.2 overs the match that started at 9:00am (Bangladesh time).

Arslan Khan was the top scorer of Calnada team with score of 42 runs  off 88 balls.

Lankan bowlers AM Fernando, CBRLS Kumara, SHTN Nimesh and BADN Silva bagged two wickets each.   

Earlier, Sri Lanka Under-19s scored a massive 315-run losing six wickets from their 50-over Sri Lanka Under-19s captain KIC Asalanka won the toss and elected to bat first.

Asalanka hit 76-run while S Ashan, WMK Bandara and PVR de Silva took 74, 61 and 51 runs respectively to help Sri Lanka score 315-run.

A Haseeb took two Lankan wickets while Abraash Khan, K Ramdath and K Patel took one wicket each.
