Fiji U-19s chasing 371 runs

DHAKA: Fiji under-19 batsmen are chasing 372-run target set by England in the 2nd ODI Match of the  ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup, 2016 in chittagong on Wednesday.

England scored 371 for three wickets in 50 overs of Group C match that started  MA Aziz Stadium in the port city.

In their innings, Fiji  have scored seven run with loss of wicket in 1.1 overs.

Fiji Under-19s required another 365 runs with 10 wickets and 48.5 overs remaining

Delaimatuku Maraiwai and T Veitacini are at the crease with 1 and 2 runs respectively while extra is the top scorer with four runs among total score 7.

Earlier, England won the toss and elected to bat.

From Wednesday (January 27), Nine Test-playing nations and seven Associate and Affiliate Members – Afghanistan, Canada, Fiji, Namibia, Nepal, Ireland and Scotland –started battle for supremacy in the 19-day event that will unveil the stars of the future.

Teams have been divided into four groups with the top two in each advancing to the Super League quarter-finals and the other two qualifying for the Plate Championships.
