Zim chasing Tigers’ 167

DHAKA: Zimbabwe are chasing Bangladesh-set 168-run target in the second match of the four-match Twenty 20 series at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna.

They have scored 167 runs for three after the end of the stipulated 20 overs.

Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim scored 27 and 24 respectively.

Tamim Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar however went to pavilion after scoring 23 and 43 runs. Mahmudullah had taken only one run before WP Masakadza sent him back.

Earlier the host won the toss and opted to bat first in the match that began at 3:00 pm (Bangladesh time) on Sunday (January 17).

Bangladesh goes in with the same XI as the first T20I. Three changes for Zimbabwe, and among them is a big one - Elton Chigumbura the regular captain is not playing.

Earlier on Friday, tigers have beaten visiting Zimbabwe by four wickets with eight-ball to spare in the first Twenty20 match at the same venue.
