DHAKA: Bangladesh are batting against the visiting South Africa in the first one-day international of three-match ODI series at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur in city Friday.

Earlier in the day, Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza won the toss and elected to bat first in the match that started at 5:40pm local time.

However, the rain hit match was curtailed to 40 overs a side.

In addition to the removal of the batting Powerplay and free-hits for all no-balls, five fielders are now allowed outside the 30-yard circle during the last 10 overs
