DHAKA: Pakistan batsmen are looking for a big total as Bangladesh bowlers are apparently making no pressure on day-2 in the visitors’ first innings of the second match in Mirpur on Thursday.

Pakistan have scored 428 for four in 123 over at Shere-bangla National Cricket Stadium till the filing of the report. The match resumed at 10:00am Bangladesh time for the second day.

Azhar Ali resumed the innings with Misbah-ul-Haq on the other end of the crease while Mohammad Shahid bowled the first over of the day.

Shahid expensed no run in his over. All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan bowled out Misbah in the second over before Pakistan added no run to the scoreboard.

Azhar and Asad Shafiq are at the crease now with 173 off 362 balls and 58 off 90 respectively.

Earlier on Wednesday, Bangladesh captain Mushfiqur Rahim won the toss and decided to field first on the slightly grassy pitch.
 
Tigers managed to send back three Pakistan batsmen. However, centuries from veteran Yunus Khan and Azhar Ali steered Pakistan to 325 runs after 90-over.

Younis Khan scored 148 runs, his 29th Test ton, and Azhar Ali hit his 8th in Test matches.

Mohammad Shahid was the pick of Bangladesh bowlers, taking two wickets and Taijul Islam bagged another Pakistan wicket.
