West Indies beat Australia

DHAKA: Defending champion West Indies beat Australia by 6-wicket in the 11th game of Super 10, also fifth match of Group-2, of the ICC World T20 at Mirpur on Friday afternoon.

Australia scored 178-run losing eight wickets from their stipulated 20 overs.

West Indies bowlers S Badree, MN Samuels and S Narine bagged two wickets each.

West Indies scored 179-run losing four wickets in 19.4-over.

M Starc took two wickets for Australia while D Bollinger and JM Muirhead took one wicket each.

The match started at 3:30pm at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.

Earlier, Australian captain won the toss and elected to bat first.
