Afghans set 255-target for Tigers

DHAKA: In the fifth One Day International (ODI) of 12th Asia Cup, visiting Afghanistan has given 255-run target to Bangladesh at Fatullah of Narayanganj on Saturday.

After facing troubles in the early over, Afghan scored 254 runs with the good batting assistance of Samiullah Shenwari and Asghar Stanikzai losing six wickets in the stipulated over at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium.

Besides, Bangladeshi bowler Arafat Sunny bagged two wickets while Rubel Hossain and Mominul Haque picked up one wicket each of Afghanistan.

Earlier Bangladesh captain Mushfiqur Rahim won the toss and elected to bowl first.
