BAN keen to avoid whitewash

DHAKA: Bangladesh is set to battle against Sri Lanka to save honour by avoiding whitewash on Saturday as the hosts have already defeated in last two matches on three match series.

The match is scheduled to begin at 1:00pm at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.

On February 20, visiting Sri Lanka has defeated Bangladesh by 61 runs in the second One Day International (ODI) in Mirpur of the city.

Chasing 290-run target, Tigers managed to score 228 runs losing all wickets in 43.0 over.

Earlier on February 17, Sri Lanka won the first ODI by 13 runs.
