DHAKA: Sri Lanka scored 314 run for five wickets at stumps on day one in the second Test against Bangladesh at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong on Tuesday.

According to espncricinfo.com, the visitors were in the driver`s seat for large parts of the day, but a few too many wickets in the last session would not please them too much.

Bangladesh` spinners, for all their success late in the day, were often too short and pushed quite a few balls down the pads too, it added.

Sangakkara scored not out 160 while Jayawardene went back to pavilion after getting 72.

Shakib Al Hasan bagged two wickets while Sohag Gazi, Al-Amin Hossain and Mahmudullah picked up one wicket each.

Earlier on January 30, Sri Lanka won the first Test against the hosts by innings and 248 runs in Mirpur.
