Sri Lanka score 531 in 1st innings against Bangladesh 

Sri Lanka were all out for 531 runs posting a mammoth total in the first innings on Day-2 of the second Test being played in Chattogram.

The openers put up a half century before Nishan Madushka was dismissed for 57. 

Dimuth Karunaratne and Kusal Mendis batted positively but both fell short of their tons. Mendis top-scored with 93 in Chittagong while Kamindu Mendis, one of the top performers for the visitors throughout the series, amassed 92 remaining on the crease to help power the innings.

Sri Lanka’s captain Dhananjaya de Silva hit 70, while Dinesh Chandimal and Prabhath Jayasuriya helped the fight back with 59 and 28 runs respectively.

Newly minted Bangladeshi lawmaker and veteran all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan picked up 3 wickets. Hasan Mahmud managed to bag 2 wickets for the hosts’ side.

Sri Lanka lead the two-match series 1-0 after thumping the hosts by 328 runs in Sylhet.
