Shakib in Mirpur to watch team practice

Bangladesh’s ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has returned home from the United States after spending time with his family.

Despite his missing the upcoming one-off Test series against Afghanistan due to a finger injury, the 36-year-old has been seen at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur during Bangladesh's practice session on Tuesday (June 6).

Shakib injured his finger while taking a catch during the second ODI against Ireland last month and could not take part in the last game of the series in England.

Later, he visited the USA to join his family there.

The BCB medical team, at that time, informed that he was ruled out for six weeks for that injury.

Shakib is likely to return to national fold again during the upcoming white-ball series against Afghanistan next month.

The team is scheduled to play three ODIs and two T20I against Afghanistan.
