Agreement with India a security threat: Moudud

DHAKA: BNP’s standing committee member Barrister Moudud Ahmed on Sunday said the agreement with India poses a major security threat for the country.

“India is one of the powerful states in the world. We will keep relationship with India but not sacrificing everything,” he said while addressing a roundtable organized by Free Thinkers Forum.

He termed the government as a “weak and dependent” and said Awami League will not protect the national interest.

The present government’s main priority is to oppress the opposition. They are not allowing the rights of people’s `freedom of speech’ which the pre-condition of democracy, he alleged.
