Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on Jatiya Ganotantrik Party (JAGPA) President Khandaker Lutfor Rahman.

In a statement shared on BNP’s Media Cell Facebook page, Fakhrul said the assault as “a barbaric attack” and called it part of a “deep-rooted conspiracy” aimed at undermining the upcoming national election.

He urged the government to immediately apprehend the attackers and ensure exemplary punishment under the law.

The BNP secretary general added, “Unity among all democratic political parties will thwart such anti-democratic conspiracies and uphold the people’s democratic aspirations.”

Khandaker Lutfor Rahman, a leading figure of the nationalist likeminded alliance, was critically injured in the attack carried out by miscreants.
