A teacher named Mithun Kumar Mondal, an instructor in the chemistry department, has been alleged of lashed 65 students on Thursday (August 4).

The incident took place at Shyamnagar Government Technical School and College at Munshiganj Shyamnagar Upazila in Satkhira.

According to the parents and employees of the institution, Teacher Mithun was talking over the mobile phone, at that time, as the students in the classroom were making noise, the teacher got angry and beat the students.

Accused Mithun Kumar Mondal told Banglanews that this was done to bring discipline to the classroom. Unexpectedly, a student got hurt in his hand.

College Principal Abul Khair Mohammad Bahauddin told Banglanews that the matter has been discussed with the parents and solved.
