At least two fishermen were killed by lightning in Shunamganj on Thursday (July 28).

The deceased were identified as Zain Uddin and Terai Mia, resident of Kalaruka Union at Chatak Upazila.

According to locals, Terai Mia, went to Haor for fishing this morning. While returning home, he died on the spot in a lightning strike.

In another incident, Zain Uddin died in a lightning strike while he was cultivating his land this morning.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shantiganj Police Station has confirmed the matter to Banglanews.
