Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has requested all the vehicles including passengers to avoid Dhaka-Ashulia road as the route experienced severe traffic congestion due to rain.
DMP deputy commissioner (DC) for media and public relations Faruk Hossain made the plea on Wednesday (July 8).
He said rain slowed traffic on the Dhaka-Ashulia road and created a long tailback.
Hundreds of vehicles got stuck on the Dhaka-Ashulia road due to rain, the DMP DC said, adding it led to horrific congestion, which is affecting Savar and Dhaka metropolis badly.
