The government has amended rules to recruit additional 2000 physicians through a special Bangladesh Civil Service (BSC) examination.

The Public Administration Ministry issued a circular on Wednesday upon amending the Bangladesh Civil Service (Age, Qualification and Examination for Direct Recruitment) Rules, 2014.

With this amendment, Public Service Commission (PSC) will be able to recruit 2,000 physicians through 42nd special BCS examination. 

According to the circular, the government, in consultation with the Public Service Commission, has amended the rules by the power given in Section 59 of ‘Sarkari Chakori Ain, 2018’. 

Earlier, around 2,000 physicians and 5,054 nurses were recruited through 39th BCS (special).
