Vikram Kumar Doraiswami has been appointed as the next Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh.

India’s Ministry of External Affairs issued a statement in this regard late Thursday. 

The statement said Doraiswami, acareer diplomat currently serving as an additional secretary at the ministry in Delhi, is expected to take up his new assignment shortly. 

Doraiswami will replace Riva Ganguly Das, who joined as Indian envoy to Bangladesh in December 2018.
