COMILLA: Four-year old twine sisters died after they drowned at a pond at Laksam upazila in Comilla on Saturday (October 14).

They are the daughters of Liton Mia of Mohammadpur village of the upazila.

The tragic incident took place at about 11:00 am.

Chairman of Gobindapur Union Parishad Nizam Uddin Shamim told Banglanews that the two sisters were playing at the pond ghat. At one stage, they fall into the pond water. Later, their bodies were recovered, he said.
