DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Monday sent nine suspected members of banned Islamist militant outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team and Harkatul Jihad (HuJi) to remand in different terms.

Magistrates Yusuf Hossain and Shamsul Arefin of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court of Dhaka passed the order after Khilgaon and Sutrapur Thana police produced them before the court with a 40-day remand plea.

The court sent six each for a three-day remand in two cases and two-day in another case filed with Khilgaon Thana in city.

Besides, the court also sent nine each to two-day remand in a case filed with Sutrapur Thana.

Earlier in the night of Sunday, Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) held the nine from different areas of the city.
