DHAKA: The United States of America (USA) has agreed to cooperate in combating human trafficking from Bangladesh.

To get the US cooperation, the country should take action quickly, said US ambassador in Dhaka Marcia Bloom Bernicat while paying a courtesy call on labor and employment minister Mujibul Haq Chunnu at his Secretariat office in city on Sunday.

Bernicat said the United States would cooperate with Bangladesh to prevent human trafficking if the country wants.

Terming human trafficking as a great tragedy, the US ambassador hoped that the Bangladesh government would take steps to prevent it soon.
