TANGAIL: Two people were killed and one injured as a truck plunged into a ditch in Gharinda area of sadar upazila in Tangail district on Monday afternoon.

Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Sources said that the accident took place on Dhaka-Tangail highway at 4:15pm.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Elenga Highway Police Post sergeant Qamruzzaman Raj said that the rice-carrying truck was going to Dhaka from a northern district.
