DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina thanked Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj after ratification and operationalisation of the historic land boundary agreement in India’s parliament.

Swaraj made the phone call to the premier around 8:32pm on Friday, said the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Mahbubul Hoque Shakil.

He further said in the ten minutes conversation, the Indian FM hoped that the bilateral relations between tow nations would be strengthened.

During Sushma’s call, the premier also thanked parliament members, officials and people of India for passage of the LBA in Indian parliament in line with the historic Mujib-Indira Agreement, 1974, Shakil added.
