Ban Ki-moon seeks Hasina’s cooperation in SDG

DHAKA:  Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) for post-2015 is set to be taken in September this year in United Nations General Assembly.

In this regard, the UN secretary general Ban Ki-moon has sought the cooperation of Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as she was in the meeting in finalizing the Millennium Development Goal (MDG).

However, almost all of the state-leaders, who took part in the MDG meeting in 2000, now are not in power except the incumbent Bangladesh prime minister.

Not only for her experience, Bangladesh, under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina, has also become a role model to other countries as it has achieved success in most of the sectors in MDG before the deadline.

State minister for foreign affairs M Shahriar Alam informed the matter to banglanews.

He said Bangladesh’s role will be strong in UN as an important partner in the meeting for SDG.
