Govt to procure 10 lac tonnes rice

DHAKA: The government has decided to purchase ten lac metric tons of rice at Tk 27.5 per kg in Boro season.

Food Minister Advocate Quamrul Islam made the disclosure after a meeting of Food Planning and Monitoring Committee at secretariat Tuesday.

He also said they would also go for purchasing 1.5 lac metric tones of wheat at Tk 28 per kg.
