DHAKA: A microbus, which was parked in city’s Dhanmondi area, was torched allegedly by hartal supporters on Sunday.

Dhanmondi Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abu Bakar Siddique confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said a group of alleged hartal supporters set the microbus on fire breaking its rear glass around 11:30am.

On information, police rushed to the spot and doused the fire with the help of locals.

However, there is no report of injuries as none was inside the microbus.

Moreover, no body was detained in this connection as the miscreants fled the spot immediately after the incident.
