DHAKA: The second round bilateral meeting between Bangladesh and Switzerland will be held on Sunday and ahead of the meeting the foreign delegation reached Dhaka on Friday.
Additional Secretary (bilateral) of Bangladesh’s foreign ministry Mizanur Rahman will lead for Bangladesh and Assistant State Secretary of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Johannes Matyassy will chair the delegation.
During the meeting, they will discuss about human rights affairs, renewable energy, economic, investment, development and cultural relation for the future bilateral relation between the countries.
The Switzerland Embassy Dhaka office confirmed the matter to banglanews.
Johannes Matyassy is also scheduled to meet parliament Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, Foreign Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali and Foreign Secretary M Shahidul Haque..
The statement added that he will also have meetings with the representatives of civil society and the business community.
Later, he will visit “Community Based Climate Adaptation by Coastal Afforestation” project in Barguna, which is co-funded by the Swiss government.
The delegation will leave Dhaka on Monday after their four-day visit.
